Hello there, I'm Aneka. Are you looking for a place to learn new coping skills to help manage life's ups & downs? Do you need to learn how to be kinder to yourself and improve your self-esteem? I would like to partner with you to help you achieve your goals! I am a LCSW in the state of Illinois. I have worked with clients whose concerns range from mild to moderate anxiety, mild to moderate depression, & general stress. My experience includes community mental health, school social work, and Employee Assistance Programs.
As a therapist my primary objective is to offer empathetic listening, support and a non-biased perspective. Utilizing a combination of Solution Focused Therapy and components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I offer professional yet empathetic listening. I believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity.
Clients can expect to take away from our sessions a sense of improved insight and self-awareness, validation in the sense of being heard, and at times reading material and/or homework to help reinforce new skills.
