People are people. I have worked with different groups of people for over 20 years and have come to realize that most people want the same things. They want to feel safe. They want to be happy. And they want the people they care about to be safe and happy too. The question is why so many people struggle to actually achieve this? I think for most people the answer is that they 1. aren't sure about what they want and how to get it and/or 2. they have thinking errors that get in the way of them making the progress they would like.
The way we think affects the way we feel. The way we feel affects the way we behave. My goal is to help you identify the thoughts that are causing problems and more importantly help you understand where these thoughts come from and how to begin challenging and eliminating these underlying beliefs so that you will see different outcomes.
I believe most people try to do what they think is right. I also think life is hard and most people are just trying to do their best. By reflecting in an honest and non judgmental way, we can evaluate where you are, where you would like to be, and explore the best way for you to make the changes needed to help you get there.
