A person who comes to me for therapy is having problems related to their emotions (ie. anxiety, depression); relationships with family and others, and whose goal is to work in therapy on developing strategies to deal with these problems so as to feel more comfortable within themselves and their world.
My approach is psychodynamic. This does not mean that I listen quietly when you talk. It does mean that we will have a conversation in your session about what is troubling you, and what I can say that will help you understand yourself better, and allow you to develop strategies that can help you feel more comfortable and fulfilled in your life.
