Therapy involves getting to know ourselves better - our beliefs, our feelings and reactions, our relationships, and the patterns we live by. I work with people who want to understand themselves better and make more positive life decisions. Many of my clients find themselves continually falling into negative patterns with friends, family, partners, academics, and career choices. Others struggle with confidence, self-worth, and an incessant inner critic. My work with couples and families focuses on increasing effective communication, and finding alternatives to negative patterns of interaction.
Whether as adults, children, couples or families, I believe that through therapy we can become more open and accepting of ourselves, and can live freer, happier, and more satisfying lives.
Finally, I have a particular interest in the treatment of climate-related anxiety, depression, and grief. As the impacts of climate disruption become more evident, many feel frightened, angry, or uncertain about the future. I help clients face these fears, express and understand their feelings, and find ways to take meaningful action.
