Thank you for your interest in my therapy/counseling practice. It is often a very difficult decision to finally decide to go to therapy. What can be even more daunting is to find a therapist that is a good fit for you. My approach is easy going and interactive which I have found most clients appreciate. I specialize in working with adults, couples, families and teens. I am co founder of Greater Portland DBT which is a consortium of DBT therapists offering Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to adults and teens.
I have been in the counseling field since 1996. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) that are proven to help depression, anxiety and personality disorders. In 2021, I became the first person in Maine to be a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician™
I am married and have 3 daughters, 32 , 29 and 14 . In 2009 we adopted our youngest from China. I am an avid runner and tennis player. My faith plays an important role in my life. I am able to accept most insurances including Medicare. I will look forward to working with you.
