I am a practicing and licensed psychotherapist specializing in working with children ages 1-10 and their families. My focus is on understanding the strengths and challenges of each child and then developing a treatment protocol designed to best support the child in the context of their family and larger community. While working with children in therapy, I often work extensively with the parents so that they can understand the emotional challenges beneath their child's behaviors and be an active part of their child's healing long term.
My techniques are developmentally appropriate for working with children. A Registered Play Therapist, I create an environment that encourages children to process their emotions. I am a Certified Theraplay Therapist, with additional training in Narrative, Art and Sandtray therapies. I have experience working with families affected by attachment disruption.
I have designed my practice to support children and families in every way. I believe that families must feel connected to, and comfortable, with their therapist, the intervention and the surroundings before progress can be made.
