Hi I'm Amy Nistor, I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that sees my role as someone that comes alongside to offer support and guidance as the client finds and owns their own individual path on their healing journey. My focus of practice is in helping those that have been psychologically, emotional and sexual abused or neglected. I help clients find how to find their own inner autonomy and sense of well-being that will give them the confidence to live their life on their terms and find healthy ways of coping and communicating with them-selves and in relationships with others.
My experience extends to working in elementary schools, counseling agencies, ministries, and residential programs and I currently own my own private practice. I have assisted many in addressing life controlling issues, emotional distress, sexual abuse, dissociative disorders and those with complex trauma histories.
My work has given me a heart for the wounded child that lives in many of us, even as adults. I am a nurturer at heart and love to help those who are deeply wounded. Since a child I have always had a heart to help those who are hurting and offer a safe place for them to feel held and cared for with respect and unconditional love.
