I have a passion for working with sensitive people who excel in certain areas of life while experiencing dissatisfaction and disconnection in others. I approach my work with great faith in our innate capacity to heal and grow with adequate support and nurturance, and draw from a rich background which includes working in addiction, mental health and trauma, as well as palliative and hospice care. On a personal note, I bring my own experience with parenting children through adulthood, shifting roles across the lifespan, and spirituality to the therapeutic process and welcome individuals & couples facing crossroads in their lives.
I have long term experience working with clients struggling with addiction, including food and body image issues, and I incorporate mindfulness skills and dialectical behavioral strategies to strengthen coping. I use an Internal Family Systems approach to help individuals connect to disavowed or extreme internal parts and restore balance to their true self.
I view the therapy process as an opportunity to shine light on the parts of ourselves and our lives that may feel stuck, stunted, or shut down. Therapy becomes a journey of both expansion and letting go and I seek to elicit in you a genuine curiosity and compassion towards yourself so that you can embody your true self more fully and authentically.
