I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in the mental health treatment of adolescents and adults. I have specialized training in the clinical treatment of trauma and have worked with clients who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, emotional/verbal abuse, religious and spiritual trauma/abuse, as well as with adult survivors of familial dysfunction and childhood abuse. I also have specialized training in the clinical treatment of mood disorders, depression, anxiety, negative thought patterns, panic attacks, stress management as well as stage of life transitions.
I have experience providing a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, play therapy, narrative therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I am a firm believer that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I practice from a person-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective and work with people who are ready to begin the healing process. I strive to provide a warm, nonjudgmental and empathetic environment in which my clients will feel heard, accepted, challenged and empowered.
