Have you decided to become a mom? It can be daunting and at times difficult. During this pregnancy are you asking yourself questions like “why am I not glowing and happy?” Have you just become a new mom and feel disconnected and that no one understands? Do you have young children and constantly ask yourself “am I a good mom, what’s wrong with me or my child?” You are not alone. I felt these very same thoughts and so have many others. Transitioning to parenthood the first, second or even third time can be overwhelming and at times traumatic and that is where therapy can be helpful.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Perinatal Mental Health trained provider, that specializes in anxiety, depression, women's issues, perinatal issues, and parenting support. Some techniques I use are Mindfulness, CBT, DBT and parenting education. I also have a background in Pastoral Counseling if spirituality is part of your healing.
I myself am a Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) survivor and a mom. I know firsthand just how difficult the journey to parenthood can be.
