Have you lost someone close to you, whether through divorce, a breakup, or death, and find your grief taking over your life? Are you questioning your sexual orientation or gender? I work collaboratively and compassionately with my clients to help them come to some kind of peace with whatever they're struggling with.
I believe that everyone has a strong inner core that can get eclipsed by traumas both large and small. Together you and I would work to find and reclaim that core.
As a former hospice worker, I have expertise in working on issues such as loss and bereavement, and crises of faith. I have also worked extensively with the LGBT community and with trauma survivors. The impact of family substance abuse and mental illness is another one of my specialities.
I try to balance curiosity and creativity with respect when I'm working with my clients. I also bring my own strong sense of spirituality to my work, as well as humor when appropriate. My goal is to help people heal from whatever is it that brought them to therapy.
