Someone once said that life happens while you're busy making plans. The unexpectedness of life can be exhilarating and challenging, often at the same time. I want to help you cope with things that may be causing you to feel all kinds of emotions. I believe that everyone has it within them to recover and thrive in adversity. I strive to create a safe and accepting environment with the intention of developing a collaborative relationship in which to explore the best ways to work through whatever is prompting you to seek counseling.
Trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused brief therapy, and motivational interviewing, I view theories and techniques as tools in a tool box. Working together, you and I will determine the best tools to use based on your unique circumstances and strengths. We will work as a team to set the treatment plan and goals for therapy.
I fulfilled a life long dream of becoming a counselor after several years in both corporate and academic settings. I have many areas of interest including anxiety, depression, trauma, health-related issues, addiction, life transition, career counseling, and relationships. It would be my privilege to support you in becoming the best version of yourself.
