I am pleased to be able to provide in person and telehealth services. I'm an LCSW that has been working in the mental health field for 20 years. During that time, I have developed a passion for helping individuals and families understand, confront, and overcome psychological challenges they may face. I feel honored and take seriously the opportunity to serve people in this way.
I graduated from UVA with a degree in biology and psychology and VCU with a masters degree in social work. I have pursued training in trauma and brain based therapies; such as, Neurofeedback and EMDR. I have focused on trauma/PTSD/grief and developed a program for coping with anxiety and stress. Marital counseling has also become important to my practice.
As a mother of 3 boys, I can relate to the challenges of balancing family, work, and self-care. I attempt to utilize a client's personal strengths which for myself also includes my Christian faith. I hope my clients feel uniquely understood and respected as they work to find pathways to good mental health.
