Hello. My name is Amy Brisky. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with over ten years of experience. I believe in meeting life's challenges head on and the importance of continuous self-exploration and growth. My style can best be described as empathic, interactive, and direct. I enjoy working with a diverse population through a variety of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges including anxiety, depression, grief/loss, relationship problems, and academic/employment problems.
My approach to therapy is eclectic and I believe that it is an active process. I am trained in a variety of techniques and therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural and Extended Family Systems, trauma focused, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, and EMDR. I tailor my methods to meet the needs and goals of my clients.
I believe that the most healing setting is one where you can be your most authentic self. I strive to create that by offering a genuine, relaxed, unstuffy space.
