As your potential therapist, I am committed to creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. My approach is affirming yet challenging, designed to support your growth while encouraging you to confront personal obstacles. With eight years of experience and knowledge of various therapeutic methods, I tailor my approach to meet your needs. I work with all walks of life but my priority clientele are Women of African descent, and other marginalized communities. My mission is to support people through life transitions, interpersonal relationships, racial/gender/sexual identity exploration, anxiety and depression.
I am a fully registered Art Psychotherapist with the National Art Therapy Credential Board. My training includes a holistic gestalt (client centered) approach, through CBT and Art therapy interventions. My goal is to guide and empower those in need of finding their voice, implementing boundaries and uncovering personal needs.
There are multiple feelings associated with starting therapy, reaching out is a brave yet difficult first step. If you are interested in working with me please send a message through my Psych Today profile or email. ! - Amina
