I embarked on my academic journey at Stony Brook University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology before pursuing a Masters in Social Work at the same institution. As an immigrant from Pakistan with a background shaped by both my cultural roots and my upbringing in the US, I am deeply committed to fostering cultural competence within the mental health field and building bridges to mental wellness.
My passion lies in creating an inclusive environment where individuals from all backgrounds feel seen, heard, valued and understood.
