I approach therapy as a collaborative somatic process and provide a supportive, empowering, and confidential space. Race, gender, class, and power—and how multiple identities intersect--all inform the work. I specialize in parenting, trauma, postpartum depression, and anxiety. Humans are natural storytellers. I use the tools of narrative therapy to understand the stories we tell ourselves. I also use play, art. metaphor, and humor to access both our dark and silly places. Tools include writing, grounding, somatics, and storytelling. I enjoy working collaboratively and creatively.
I offer confidential tele-health services. I ground the process in positive psychology, somatic, and expressive arts therapies. I am also a certified surf therapist! Founding member and current VP for our nonprofit Surfing Moms. We offer surf-care through a surf-swap childcare system to help moms take care of themselves. We offer surf therapy workshops and postpartum support as well. www.surfingmoms.org
