Hi, glad you're here! My name is Amelia. I'm a licensed clinical social worker. Like you, I believe connecting with the right therapist that you feel comfortable with, feel safe sharing with, and most importantly trust, is one of the most important relationships an individual can have. I have provided individual, family, and group counseling for children, adolescents, and adults dealing with trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, complex medical issues, and anger control problems for the last 6 years.
I approach therapy with compassion, empathy, and views it as a partnership. I am passionate about meeting individuals, couples, and families where they are and walking alongside them toward healing and peace. I practice from a trauma informed lens to meet clients where they are. CBT (talk therapy) and Internal Family Systems are my preferred modalities.
I understand the path towards healing is not always easy. I am committed to creating an environment of warmth and safety where clients feel empowered to open up and work towards positive change.
