The hardest journey is the journey inwards. Amber has a passion for supporting individuals and families who have experienced trauma. She strives to create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable space where her clients can share openly and make progress.
Amber is also certified in EMDR therapist. EMDR helps lessen disturbing or distressing feelings and replace them with more positive thoughts and feelings. She also uses strategies and techniques from Somatic Experiencing (SE). Amber is working towards getting certified in Somatic Experiencing and has completed her SE Intermediate III training.
Amber has experience working with PTSD, anxiety, anger, communication, traumatic experiences, depression, domestic violence, dissociation, sexual abuse, self-esteem, and is LGBT allied. As well as, she uses therapeutic approaches from Person-centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Informed Therapy (TF-CBT).
