Hi there! I'm Amber and I'm a therapist based in Southern California but can work through telehealth to see clients all over California! I work with all ages but primarily adults and teens who are struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, family conflicts, relationship issues, or school and work difficulties. I also work with kids who are having difficulty with voicing their emotions and need some extra support. I have worked a lot with adult stance and alcohol dependence and abuse and specialize in this area.
When working with clients I like to use a strength based approach to help clients discover and use coping skills to manage future problems that may arise. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Theory, Solutions-Focused Theory, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness practices with clients.
I hope that by looking at the different areas of your life together, we can build new and helpful tools that can help you cope, create new habits, and set boundaries. I want to give you a safe space filled with compassion to help you grow and express yourself fully.
