Welcome! My passion is centered on working with individuals struggling with a variety of conditions such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, women's health and trauma. I am certified in perinatal mental health which involves helping women and men address a variety of issues related to infertility, pregnancy, postpartum and challenges with parenthood. In addition I am an EMDR trained clinician and work to use this modality to help clients heal from traumatic events. I place a major focus on providing compassion and empathy in the work I do and creating a safe comforting space.
Whether you have been in therapy before or seeking it out for the first time I view this as a major step. Therapy at times can be intimidating or scary because we are faced with looking at the parts of ourselves that perhaps are not performing at their best. As part of my role I am here to make therapy less scary and assist in the direction of feeling better
I can appreciate that at times it can be difficult to sit with uncomfortable emotions and thoughts and it’s because of this I find admiration of those I am working with. Together I will work with you to determine your goals in therapy and create a plan to help you achieve them.
