I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a strong background working with adults and adolescents. Resistance is a completely normal part of the therapeutic process. My goal is to normalize this, and help you work toward acceptance. My experience has focused on addiction, mood disorders, trauma, gender/sexuality, sexual behaviors, and clients who have a difficult time making positive changes in their lives. Making long term, positive change in our lives is a learned skill set that many of us are not taught. It's not too late and every journey begins with one step. I'm here to be a guide on your journey.
I work with Modyfi, which stands for mind, body, fitness. Founded in 2019, we are reimagining the mental healthcare experience and inspiring change in the people we serve, both patients and providers. We believe in an individual and holistic approach to care, promoting changes that are sustainable, and working toward your goals to improve your life.
We will work together as a team, taking whatever time we need to help you on your journey. My mission is to help you identify goals, focus on your future, and empower you to succeed. DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) - Age 21+
Private insurance accepted. DBT is a type of talk therapy specially adapted for people who experience intense emotional reactions. DBT focuses on helping people accept the reality of their situation, reframe their perception, regulate their reaction, and change their lives. When we are met with trauma early in life, coping with stress can feel nearly impossible, even as we get older. Oftentimes, those who experience trauma go on to feel things so intensely that they struggle to enjoy their lives, build meaningful relationships, and maintain stability. This is where dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) can help.
