Personal and Professional Profile My name is Dumbe Emmanuel Elessa. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the State of Washington. I have more than three decades of clinical and leadership work experience in Community Behavioral Health. I also have extensive clinical and supervisory experience in Adult and Geriatric Mental Health as well as in Ethnic Minority issues. I was born in tropical Cameroon. I obtained the Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Washington Graduate School of Social Work in June, 1986.
The professional equity that I have earned through the aforementioned life journey galvanized me to launch “Amazing Grace Counseling and Consultation, LLC. in June 2022. Concentration Over the years, I have provided counseling to older adults, adults, children, and families. However, my current exclusive focus is on adults and older adults.
During care, my interventions are informed by three modalities: Systems, Cognitive Behavioral, and Solutions Focused. I subscribe to the philosophical premise that the challenging behavior of an individual or couple is only a display of symptoms of unmet needs. Such needs may be physical, neurological, psychological, or spiritual, or a combination of these.
