Hello, I'm so glad that you have taken on this journey of growth and healing. My name is Blanca Amaya, and I have been in the helping profession for over 10 years, working with adults using evidence-based and alternatives practices. I work under a multicultural and trauma informed lens that allows me to understand your individual needs and meet you where you are in your journey. I specialize in helping POC individuals heal from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, through a EMDR lens to help desensitize and reprocess negative thoughts and emotional distress. EMDR uses unique techniques to assist individuals in their mental health healing journey.
I am committed to decreasing the barriers to mental health services and due to this, my practice is 100% online sessions (via a HIPAA secure video). Having this option allows you to meet be virtually in the comfort of your own home or office. It also allows us to build a strong therapeutic relationship any where your are in California.
