•Earlier morn openings for 3.5-6 yr olds• I have a practical approach to therapy and believe a solid understanding of yourself is key to resolving emotional distress. I strongly believe in helping clients develop insight into their thoughts/behaviors & provide feedback to encourage growth. My therapeutic style is more direct, using humor and my intuition to guide me in treatment. My modalities include CBT, narrative therapy, psychodynamic, holistic, art & play therapy, bibliotherapy and sand play.
My practice is a mix of kids ages 3-10, tweens/teens, college age adults & adult females. I specialize in anxiety, grief, ADHD, learning disabilities & school-related issues, trauma, family conflict, sexual abuse, divorce & parental substance abuse.
My broad range of experience includes work in hospitals, juvenile justice system, outpatient counseling, school-based counseling, DV survivors and rape crisis work. For kids I believe in a collaborative approach with parents, school, and providers to support them in all areas. I assist families in identifying learning issues & attend IEP/504 meetings.
