I specialize in working with children & teens ages 2-12 for defiance, trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, attachment issues, child abuse, grief & loss, and life adjustments. I provide effective, research-based counseling in a warm and inviting environment. I offer practical strategies and activities to help children and families meet their goals and improve their lives. Modalities used include Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Parent Child CARE (PC-CARE), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Triple P Parenting, play therapy (directive, non-directive, and experiential), and therapeutic expressive art activities.
As a parent I understand the worries and frustrations often associated with the enormous job of parenting. Parent participation is encouraged as this can result in better long-term outcomes. I love working with parents and families to reduce conflict, and increase communication and peace within the parent-child relationship. I use a client-centered approach.
I am currently offering in-person sessions, with telehealth/video sessions available as needed.
