Hi, I’m Amanda. I believe that in order to understand people and their challenges, it is important to understand the systems and relationships they are a part of. I strive to create an authentic, collaborative, and down to earth therapeutic relationship with my clients. I am passionate about working with women, children, first responders, veterans, and military families.
I employ a Gestalt and existential approach to therapy, while also using techniques from various therapeutic methods to best fit your needs. I like to pull from CBT, ACT, and solution-focused approaches. I also have completed training in PE Therapy (for PTSD), as well as The Gottman Method for couples.
I am currently a Master's candidate therapist at Grand Canyon University.
Prior to my current academic endeavors, I worked as a respiratory care
provider in a trauma/critical care setting and, after earning a master's degree
in Education in 2016, served as a clinical education specialist. I am also a
veteran of the United States Army.
