A lot of things can get in the way of living a life you love- insecurities, shame, comparison, perfectionism, emotions you don't know what to do with, thoughts you'd rather not have, living in a society that devalues you, etc. I am a licensed psychologist with over a decade of experience working with individuals from all walks of life. I founded my private practice on the principles of "empowerment, compassion and clarity" with the intent to guide and support my clients as they uncover these traits within themselves- leading them to more balanced and fulfilling lives.
Therapy is most effective when approached in a spirit of collaboration. I value genuineness and strive to provide a warm atmosphere where sessions feel conversational. I have extensive experience with empirically supported treatments, like DBT, and have a soft spot for helping people who have been labeled as "too emotional" or "sensitive".
I understand the discomfort of being vulnerable and asking for help. I respect the courage it takes to reach out in times of need which is why I have a policy to respond to messages within 24-48 hours. I offer free consultations because finding the right therapist is important, and shouldn't come at a cost. You don't have to do this alone.
