I believe that distressing presenting symptoms are not random and are always rooted in our story. I love to take a compassionate approach to learning others' stories to make sense of distressing present-day symptoms. I counsel from a trauma-informed lens and utilize EMDR (a well-researched trauma-informed modality) in my work with clients.
