Are you looking to live your life more authentically? Are there things getting in the way of your happiness that you aren't quite able to make sense of or get past? Do you have trauma that impacts your relationships and day-to-day life? I'm here to help you gain clarity and find the path forward with tools to reduce stress and improve insight and coping. I can help you unlearn the unhealthy behaviors learned in earlier in life and replace them with healthy behaviors.
I believe in fostering a felt sense of safety in my counseling, engaging in both empathic listening and corrective emotional experiences in order to help you achieve the healing you need. My specialty is trauma treatment but I also work with non-trauma related issues. I ensure that my office is an LGBTQIA+ safe space.
My work is focused on helping you understand and cultivate a safe connection between your brain and body, so they are no longer working in opposition. I believe that change is possible for everyone, and that the human brain is a very powerful machine geared toward survival and keeping us safe, and it just needs some help to do its job better sometimes.
