English
| español I understand it can be difficult to choose someone you can trust to collaboratively guide you through your healing journey. My role is to meet you where you are in the process, in a non-judgmental and positive way towards the goals or changes you envision as possible. My experience is working with people struggling with Depression and Anxiety. Including Queer/Trans community, multilingual communities, intersectional identity issues, acculturative/cultural stress, identity development, chronically-ill and different-abled community, and Latinx/e community. I provide these services in English and Spanish.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Education from the University of Texas, and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling. I enjoy providing mental health education and mindfulness training to different populations. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness approaches.
I believe in a holistic approach to therapy that is grounded in person-centered, culturally sensitive, mindfulness, and of a systematic perspective. As a multilingual/multicultural chronically-ill Indigi-queer therapist, I am deeply committed to providing counseling for individuals with diverse identities and cultural backgrounds.
