My name is Alyssa Talbot. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in California with six years of experience providing therapy services. I have worked in the mental health community for the last 15 years in a wide range of therapeutic settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial and intensive outpatient co-occurring care (substances and mental health), and prison settings. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, LGBTQI issues, PTSD, addictions, suicidality, and ADHD.
I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I am comfortable with working with many clients. I am adaptable based on the needs of my clients. I traditionally see clients who present with anxiety, depression, and life changes.
I like to think of myself as personable. I like to build rapport through empathy and humor. However, I am also known to be pretty straightforward. I have been told by many clients that they feel like our sessions are more like "talking with an old friend" than "therapy."
