I offer services for children, adolescents and adults. Although I enjoy working with a diverse population, I have extensive experience helping children and adolescents better cope with anxiety, depression and other stress-related disorders. I also work with adult clients dealing with stress, relationship issues, grief and trauma. I have a special interest in working with anxiety and stress-related disorders such as OCD, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety disorder. Together we will identify problems getting in the way and thoughtfully apply skills to help you move past your anxiety and depression!
I specialize in using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). By practicing these techniques, I can provide effective counseling on a short-term basis. By teaching skills such as cognitive restructuring, mindfulness and emotion regulation, I will empower my clients to learn to manage their own symptoms.
I believe in creating a collaborative and authentic relationship with others. I provide a safe space to share life experiences, process through feelings and will teach you to challenge unhelpful behavior patterns. I help my clients identify stressors and triggers that may be getting in the way and we will create realistic and attainable goals together.
