As an individual and couples therapist and a parenting coach for over 25 years, I am very experienced at working with clients in crisis. Often a marriage is in trouble or just not enough. Parents are trying hard to be the best parents they can be, but not succeeding. Individuals can be stuck, overwhelmed, confused or feel hopeless. The habituated way we cope often causes us great suffering and prevents us from enjoying our lives.
As children, we develop coping strategies which help us successfully navigate our childhood. These strategies have been useful in childhood, but often become ineffective later in life. I help my clients identify these habituated coping strategies, leading to understanding and a joyful life.
I have been particularly successful in working with individuals who have had a difficult childhood and facilitating couples in renewing and deepening their connection. I am also passionate about my work with parents of children and teens.
