I work with individuals and families from an attachment perspective. I have worked extensively with children ages three and up in individual and family therapy, utilizing play, art and talk therapies to help individuals handle challenging situations at home and/or school, or within their own internal world. I can help children build resilience, self-reliance, and their self-regulatory skills. I work with parents, helping them to better meet their children's needs while fostering a better relationship. I work with adults on the myriad of life transitions they are working through, helping them better cope with their everyday stresses.
Helping individuals and families identify and build on strengths is an important aspect of the therapeutic process. When working with children, parental involvement is a key component of treatment. I work to incorporate parents and/or caregivers into the treatment process whenever appropriate and possible.
I utilize attachment, object relations and relational theories, as well as family systems. My approach is influenced by research that indicates the importance of relationships upon the formation of one's personality. I work toward forming a relationship with you, as well as focusing on your current and past relationships.

Groups
Circle of Security Parenting
I'm a certified Circle of Security Parent Facilitator. These groups run in 8 week sessions, for one hour and 15 minutes each meeting. They are attachment based parenting sessions and benefit parents with children of any age. If you are interested in joining a group please contact me in order to learn about upcoming classes. Furthermore, if you and/or your spouse are interested in individually doing the group, details can be worked out to accommodate your needs.
