Are you a student, young adult, or parent seeking support? I'm Alva, a Dallas-born Clinical Social Worker with a diverse background as a former teacher, college advisor, and interpreter. My counseling repertoire includes Child Therapy, Family Issues, Parenting and more. Trained in EMDR, TGCTA, and other trauma focused models, my approach to therapy is both compassionate and results-oriented, with a particular emphasis on connecting with those navigating through life changes and transitions.
I'm a Dallas native, former teacher and college advisor, now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Bachelor's in Sociology, Master's in Social Work, and Doctorate in Christian Counseling. My counseling expertise spans many areas including trauma, family issues, and premarital counseling. I enjoy time with my family, hobbies, and travel.
When I'm not counseling, I cherish time with my family. I enjoy reading, sewing, and traveling. I also have a sweet tooth and love a good movie.
