Clients seek therapy for various reasons; however, there are struggles I have more experience in treating. The age between 18 and 30 is a pivotal time in a person's life as they discover who they are. This age group undergoes depression, anxiety, the processing of childhood and current trauma, and self-esteem struggles. Clients this age typically undergo a life transition involving family, education, beliefs, the onset of various diagnoses, and finances. My treatment includes a lot of self-discovery, emotion regulation, and boundary setting to help clients process the past, cope with the present, and be hopeful for the future.
My goal is to create a safe space for my clients to heal. My approach involves sincerity, professionalism, honesty, and empathy. I value seeing clients for who they are and not just what they have endured in life, offering them a different level of support. It's an honor to assist my clients in overcoming trauma, managing depression and building self-esteem.
The thought of therapy can be intimidating, but my goal is to provide an emotionally safe space for clients. It is essential you feel comfortable in sessions in order to vent and release feelings that are heavy.
