Allison enjoys seeing clients who have felt that 'talk therapy' has not worked for them in the past, this is due to her conscious, somatic, and psychoeducational approach to treatment. She is trained in CBT, mindfulness work, EMDR, IFS and somatic work to create an individualized treatment for clients. Allison sees a variety of clients with needs ranging from major depression, ADD/ADHD, PTSD, Religious transition/trauma, eating disorders, co dependency, transitional adjustments, behavioral addictions, and intrusive thoughts to many others.
Allison's philosophy: Life's struggles stem from multiple areas. I believe in a whole-self/systems approach. The use of this philosophy offers an analysis of how the inner system - body, mind, spirit, emotion - connects to the outer system - family, culture, community. I believe when one area is out of balance, it impacts everything else.
This view extends to the belief that mental health is not separate from overall health. Emotional issues live in our bodies, and physical issues can affect us emotionally. I am honored for the opportunity to guide my clients to self-awareness and mindfulness. Through this journey, they can gain insight into their own interwoven systems"
