Allison Clay is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in decreasing impairing symptoms of anxiety and mood disorders to improve daily functioning and quality of life. After receiving her BA in Psychology from California State University, Northridge, Allison found herself in what felt like the most unlikely of places…a middle school! And while working with teens in education was not her plan, she discovered it was her calling. Ms. Clay found her true joy and passion in advocating for the social and emotional wellness of students.
It quickly became apparent to Allison that she wanted to continue in the counseling field and went on to earn her MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University to broaden her scope of practice and not only work with students of all ages but also engage with a wide variety of clients.
Allison recognizes that it can be challenging to put daily expectations and demands aside and make self-care a priority. However, she also knows that there are times for all of us when life is humbling and reminds us that we are simply human. It is in these times when we have the choice to do the most human thing possible and reach out for help.
