The foundation of Allie’s clinical practice is seeing past the binary imposed by social systems & supporting people in living their best life. She views navigating the world as our most authentic self with all our intersecting identities as a beautiful and healing experience. As a social worker, Allie views mental health work as an integral part of social justice. This perspective acknowledges the systemic factors contributing to mental health disparities & positions therapy as a means to challenge and transform those systems. Her practice supports LGBTQIA+, HIV/Aids, BIPOC communities, and promotes bodily autonomy for all.
Allie utilizes CBT, DBT, Somatic, & a “real” talk approach. She believes in self determination and paving a way forward so clients are in the driver seat of their own journey. She incorporates her personal experience as a Latine person to add cultural competence to her practice. She is dedicated to social justice, inclusivity, and empowering others.
Allie (she/they; ella/elle), is a Licensed Masters Social Worker in the state of New Mexico. Prior to working here, she was a social worker and case manager in Texas and Louisiana, where she worked with vulnerable populations. She graduated with a degree in Women and Gender Studies from Tulane University in 2013 & a Masters in Social Work from USC in 2020.
