The harm caused from being raised by emotionally immature (EI) parents impacts you as an adult in so many ways. Anxiety, trauma, people pleasing, poor boundaries, shame, guilt, exhaustion become a part of every day. I specialize in helping women who were raised by EI parents in various stages of healing- from the newbies to those wanting to maintain their progress. My clients don't want traditional talk therapy- they want a more structured, targeted approach. As one of the small number of therapists providing DBT-PE in WA, I'm able to help clients using evidence-based interventions & make impacts that have lasting change.
I've worked with women with anxiety, trauma & EI parents for most of my career at various levels of care. Because of my experience I am clear on the most effective care for the stage of recovery you're in. I am extremely grateful to get to say that I've been trained extensively in DBT & DBT-PE by certified clinicians who played key roles in DBT's creation.
Honestly, healing from attachment, relational, & emotional trauma from childhood is hard. It's also worth it.
