The foundation of my approach is client-centered, believing that through therapeutic rapport change is possible. This approach has provided me with the opportunity to provide adolescents, families, couples and adults my areas of expertise in which I utilize various disciplines of treatment. Such areas include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and skill building domains that include communication, the development of boundary setting, effective decision making and emotional regulation skills to help manage moods, sleep disturbance, stress and reactivity.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Counselor in the State of New Jersey, as well as a National Board Certified Counselor. Since 1989, I've had direct experience in virtually every continuum of behavioral health services and specialize in substance use, anxiety & depression, trauma and loss.
In focusing on client-centered goals, I provide an environment in which individuals are treated with dignity and respect while being challenged to explore ways to improve their quality of life and affirm a life worth living despite challenges and obstacles.
