I have developed a particular niche for treating adolescents, teens, young adults, and families. My experience in the mental health field has included treatment of addiction, PTSD, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and personality disorders. I aim to guide and encourage my clients to learn how to advocate for themselves in order to get their needs met, regardless of where they are in their lives. When working with a younger population, I believe family integration is an invaluable part of the work. Therefore, I encourage families to be part of the therapeutic process at an appropriate capacity, case by case.
I specialize in trauma focused treatment, however consider many factors in choosing the best therapeutic approach for each individual and family. I integrate evidenced based therapeutic models such as psychodynamic, CBT, EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, mot. interviewing, and Attachment-Based Family Therapy based on symptomotology and holistic observation/assessment.
My success in treating clients stems from an approach that genuinely values a safe and connected therapeutic environment, as well as modeling and building strong and healthy interpersonal relationships.
