We all suffer in life at different times in different ways for different reasons. Whether it be for a brief period, a season or a lifetime, we may find ourselves lost in the world, and mostly, to ourselves. While many individuals initially come to therapy to solve a problem in their outer lives, some discover that what they truly seek is a path home to themselves, to those they love, to the natural world and to the Mystery that is within and beyond all. A few come because they can no longer ignore their souls' need for depth and transformation.
My orientation is Jungian/Archetypal Psychology. NLP, Ericksonian Hypnosis, and Ken Wilber's Integral approach are also utilized. For 20 years as adjunct professor of pastoral counseling and 30 years as a therapist, I have had the privilege of walking with individuals who honor the soul's search for depth.
No therapist is a good fit for everyone. Appropriate degrees, licenses, training and experience are paradoxically, invaluable and meaningless. The essential question is whether both therapist and client intuit enough trust in the other to begin a journey of exploration together. As in all matters, grace guides the process home.
