We all face challenges in our lives. Some conflicts are the result of early childhood experiences, others more rooted in difficult, life altering experiences such as grief and loss, relationship issues, life transitions or long standing feelings of depression and anxiety. It often feels overwhelming to address difficulties on our own. A therapeutic relationship can provide the support and encouragement needed to help understand and change destructive thoughts or behavior patterns, confront ones past issues with compassion and make positive life changes.
The therapist-patient relationship is one of the most important determinants of a positive experience. I work collaboratively, build on strengths and help people develop strategies for conflict resolution. I am an active listener and believe that by developing greater insight we can change patterns that hold us back from living fulfilled and engaged lives.
