I have a profound respect for the way our minds work so diligently to protect and shield us from unwanted experiences as well as our mind’s ability to interpret the world around us. I am aware taking the leap into therapy can feel strange, which is why I strive to make the process as least scary as possible often using humor and acknowledge the awkwardness while embracing it for what it is and you for who you are . All of us have experiences, some good and some bad, but we are more than just a collection of experiences and/or memories and in therapy I hope to help each person find what makes them whole.
I specialize in working with children 3 years of age and up, adolescents, young adults, families, and parents in the treatment of trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, adjustment disorders, life transitions, grief, attachment/relational issues, and women's issues. I am trained in EMDR, TF-CBT, and NMT.
I work hard in building trust before asking anyone to reveal what they have experienced or what is so deeply troubling them. I see therapy and the therapeutic process as a collaborative journey which involves the honor and privilege of assisting clients unlock the meaning behind their experiences.
