I support individuals in their desire to heal and improve their quality of life. Sessions are focused on the development of concrete skills to manage emotions and thought patterns which influence our behaviors in conjunction with EMDR. I have recently integrated Neurofeedback into my practice for which I have more immediate availability and no wait list. Clients have described me as straightforward and "no nonsense". I create an active healing environment, more than just talk therapy. The goal is always to achieve the ability to function without therapy in the most effective and short term manner.
CBT promotes skills to self adjust thinking patterns and behaviors. EMDR is a short term tool for trauma, anxiety, and more. Neurofeedback is a great stand alone tool for those who struggle with traditional talk therapy and want to just focus on physical regulation. It is also a successful adjunct to improve the ability to engage in CBT and EMDR.
