It is a privilege to be an Outpatient Therapist. My clients are the BEST teachers. I would like to teach my clients to be their own therapists and/or to re-parent their parts to function in this world at their highest ability. I completely and thoroughly appreciate and am grateful for every moment even the not so good ones (usually the lesson we need to learn). I want to help my clients learn happiness comes from within, happiness is their responsibility and we ALL deserve to be happy and to feel loved and accepted. The journey is the challenge and turning challenges into opportunities is the goal.
I specialize in trauma. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems or the PARTS Model) as well as BT (Behavior Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). It is my passion to help people learn to THRIVE after surviving bad events. Fear keeps us stuck in the past leading to depression and/or stuck worrying and anxious about the future. I recently saw a sign, "Stop being who you are and start being who you want to be." I love that saying! It is possible!
My clients are the experts on themselves. They know themselves better than I ever will. I trust my clients will be open and honest, which is not easy to do and greatly appreciated. I have great empathy for others. Pain and shame hurt. Not feeling accepted and loved hurts. Not ever feeling like you are enough or will ever be enough hurts. We have parts in us that critique, judge and tell us stories. It is when we begin to believe these stories we get into trouble. We ALL deserve to be happy. Why not start today?
