Individuals come to my practice when their usual coping skills/communication are no longer effective, often leading to anxiety, frustration and at times feelings of hopelessness. These problems often interfere with normal daily routines. The Good News is that Things Can and Do Get Better. My approach to working with adolescents and adults is active, collaborative, and practical, in a safe and supportive setting. My goal is to bring clarity, new perspectives, and understanding to these situations.
I work with students and adults, having problems with, but not limited to: mood disorders, anxiety relationship issues and stress management, loss and grief and adjustment to life changes. Perfectionism and and setting clear Boundaries is the core of many problems and these issues can most definately be managed successfully.
Many of the individuals I see in my practice are professionals who have busy and at times, unpredictable schedules. To accomodate these needs I attempt to be flexibile and offer after hour sessions.
