Are you looking for a therapist who understands and actively challenges society's expectations of our bodies, gender, and sexuality? If you have ever felt fear of not being heard fully, have had mental or physical concerns minimized due to your size, or have worried about obstacles to receiving care, I am here to help challenge barriers that keep you from finding true fulfillment in your body, identity, and self. While I provide care for a variety of issues, I have extensive experience and passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals healing from internalized weight stigma, body discomfort, and diet culture.
I believe that there is no one way to work towards our goals and I look holistically at the impacts to an individual’s mental health. I have supported individuals experiencing anxiety/depression, gender/identity exploration, body liberation/neutrality (HAES focused), trauma, and ADHD while prioritizing a culturally sensitive and trauma informed approach.
My counseling style is empathetic, warm, and reflects my personality in order to create a safe space where individuals can come to be their true selves and receive support as they explore the impacts to their well-being.
